Why I Started Challenging Myself

Don’t limit your challenges. Challenge your limits.
— Angely Dub

For me, success is the result of freedom and challenge going hand in hand in a mixed effort. What do I mean by that, you ask? As someone who always seeks adventure, new experiences are unexpected to me and with those comes change or adversity. Now, what kind of adventurer would I be if I didn’t face those headfirst with all my strength and wit?

I wouldn’t be the person I am now if it weren’t for the challenges I myself set or those I faced on my path to success. I had the freedom to decide whether or not I would take on such obstacles, I could have given up or faced easier tasks. But I chose to grow into a stronger and better version of myself, which were the outcomes of me tackling such great challenges.

It’s a lot like math; the harder a problem is, the growth and lesson you learn is proportionate to it as well. The way I see it, if it weren’t for the ups and downs I had to face throughout this lifetime I wouldn’t be standing here having built 5 businesses and giving opportunities to others. My perspective in success is that I give myself the freedom to grow and to be open to all the endless possibilities life has yet to offer.

I have always defined challenges as being able to go out of my comfort zone and be better and stronger as each day passes. I strive for progress, not perfection, and I firmly believe that small progress is still progress. We all go through our own pace in life, it’s important to remind ourselves that this life is not a race, and allowing yourself to slow down and cherish the moments you have is truly the way we should start living our lives.

It’s never too late to start doing something that you'd never thought you would be doing. Try something new once in a while and if you were looking for a sign to do it, then this is your sign! Start turning your dreams into a reality and you will thank yourself in the future, because it all really just begins with a single step. What happens after, will just follow.
